about
original working title: "Sinéad"
"During the writing of Collapses I was listening to 'The Lion And The Cobra' non-stop. There was something about those songs I really connected with.
"I came up with this dirty guitar sound with a half-tone bend. It was raw, dangerous. I wanted to write something like Sinéad's lyrics in'Troy'. Ultimately I wrote something different, but I think it still has some thematic similarities."
lyrics
Straps and wet leather on the floor
Straddled on a chair
An empty girl is wearing nothing more
The scent of pleasure in the air
Braided down her spine
The dark black hair
Drives me crazy every time
I cannot leave this burning room
(gone mad hot touch of promised youth)
Her sex the universal truth
Her silken skin the sweetest cream
It doesn’t seem to her
A sin to blur the subtle and extreme
I somehow need all of this
She finds a way to make
The vicious ache subside with every kiss
I cannot leave this burning room
(gone mad hot touch of promised youth)
Her sex the universal truth
